    Happy new year!

    Happy 2009 everyone!

I hope everyone is recovering comfortably from the festivities and celebrations. As always, I was disapointed by the London fireworks on the telly. For a fraction of the price they could have just blown up the London Eye and would have been much better.

Michelle and I have spent the best part of the last two weeks getting beaten at Scene It and Trivial Pursuit by Michelles mum. At the moment Michelle's trying teach her mum to play Rock Band and I'm on the verge of having kittens.

Our flat is now looking like an add for Hawkins Bazaar after we spent a small fortune in there for xmas pressies. We've got racing grannies, racing snails, weird blue things, painting by numbers and all sorts EVERYWHERE! I did get an airfix kit to keep me amused for a few days which is now sitting comfotably on the telly. We've now gained a slow cooker and a George Forrman grill for the kitchen, Michelle's got a new telly (Samsung LCD) and I've got a new Xbox 360 Elite under my telly to replace the old Boxy who's gone off to repair only to be sold off on his return. It'll be sad to see him go but it's become a bit tiresome having to send him off every year for more surgery. It Should be looking something like Lolo Ferari by the time it gets back.

We've stocked up on Microsoft points from Zavvi as they're selling them off for £2.50 (so I'm told) than it is to buy them online. So now we've got the new maps for Gears of War 2 to try out (although I still believe 800 pts for 3 maps is a rip-off) so will have to hit Horde mode again next week. I've just had a quick go at the demo for Legendary although after seeing some of its reviews, I wasn't expecting much and that's just what I got. Controlls are sluggish at best and there's just no point trying to aim half the time. It's not even a game I'd concider renting but try the free demo on the market place if you fancy a laugh. The new Scene It? BOS is really good. We've played it so much we've already started getting repeat questions so it's now a case of who remembers the answer the fastes from the day before. Michelle's already whored a load od gamerpoints out of it but it'll be interesting to see what they do with the download content for it. They better do some as it was a big selling point for it.

I've nearly finnished the final prestige level on Call of Duty 4 but trying to work towards getting all the gold weapons which may take quite a while since I need about 150 headshots with every weapon and I'm simply not that good. With patience and a lot of luck I should accidently get there by 2011. :o) Still got a long way to go on the next Call of Duty, though.

Right, time to go find snacks. Maybe I can talk Michelle and her mum into bacon sandwhiches...

    Dont forget about me!

    November 27

The gifting season aproaches, arm yourselves!

    Welcome back everyone.

We've loaded up with tree and decorations ready for December. It's the first year we've actually got enough cash to get pressents for the family and it'll be the first time we actually have some form of decorations.

This month has seen the release of the new Xbox 360 dashboard. I was suprisd how quick it downloaded but maybe I'm still use to our restricted internet speed from before we changed providers. Anyway, no major bugs so far that I've come accross, the frinds list freezes up from time to time if you go to fast. The layout is a lot more visual and interactive than previously, not just lists but I-player style scrolling box covers for games, etc. With the addition of avatars (little stylized people that represent you), makes some games and the friends list more personaland light-hearted. I just hope they bring out some more customizable stuff to put on the. Cough-bunny ears-cough.

Also this month we've been spending far to much on new games so I wont go into depth so here's an overview:-
    • Gears of War                            Much the same as before
    • Call of Duty: World of War       Not as good as 4 but better than 3
    • Guitar Hero: Legends of Rock   Michelle got bored of it in 3 days
    • Rockband 2                              "Rockband Again" more like it
    • Lips                                           Really good, unlike my singing
    • Scene it: Box Office Smash        Not opened it yet, saving it for Christmas
    • Fallout 3                                    Pretty gripping but I'm wussy so not got far
    • A Kingdom for Keflings             Live Arcade game. Really addictive CIV type game
We went to see Saw (whatever number the latest one is). Still not as good as the first one. Could see everything coming a mile off like liklyhood of a car alarm getting anoying. We also got Redacted on DVD about soldiersgetting up to naughty things but wasn't very good. Got the box set of Indiana Jones but Michelle hasn't let me watch it yet. Currently working through series two of Ghost in the Shell that Michelle got for me allong with a new live show by Bill Bailey, which was fantastic. We're still waiting for Daywatch to come out with the special subtitles and for the last Batman film tobe released.

I'm hoping to get a new laptop shortly and this time I'm determined to avoid Packard Bells with the faulty screens my last two have had. The Acers look pretty good so might scrape the bootom of their barrel for a cheap one.

Well, I'm off to put the heating on and I think pizza might be in order tonight, sinse it's nearly pay day.

    update time

    Hi peeps,

We're getting a sofa!!!! Will be delivered on Tuesday and we've got cusions and throws ready to make it pretty. It's one of those metal framed sofa beds (much like Scary and Zombies). We decided it was time to upgrade from a beanbag now that I'm getting paid more. My work hours have changed so I dont work past 6pm any more too. :o)

There's been news about some changes to the release of Fable 2 due out this month. It will not have online co-op straight from the box so will be released in a patch. So, when Mr Molyneux said at E3 "Fable 2 is finished," what he actually meant was "Fable 2 isn't quite finished so we're making a patch to get the rest in on release day" Combined with the last minute removal of a lot of the intended contents of the CE box set, my faith in Lionhead has taken a bit of a knock. You can bet Peter had a few choice words for his management department.

Still enjoying Battlefield: Bad Company but not very good at it online. It's worth picking up second hand if you like FPS's and it's hard for me to say that about an EA game as it's no secret that I'm no fan of their after sales organisational morals (or lack of to be precise).

Been playing Duke Nukem 3D aswell since it came out on the Live Marketplace last week. Brings back memories. I havent found a means of using any of the old cheat codes on it though, which is disappointing. Still good though.

We've now changed Internet Providers since Tiscali were unable to find and fix the cause of our limited connection speed. Now we're with Plusnet who do a good gaming package that gives priority server access when gaming and so far it's proving lag-free. There is a download limit but any usage after midnight is free so I've been queuing up my marketplace downloads before bedtime so our usage limit is hardly touched. :o)

Right, the battlefield is calling so I'm going to go kill some people before we do Sausage and mash for tea.
    Cheerio!

    So, 6 months on...

    Welcome one and all.

So, it's been quite some time since I last blogged, sorry. First I'll start with the "me" stuff, as that's what first comes to mind. Michelle and I are still very much in love and in the same flat although now we've managed to re-hang the curtains so there's no longer a really annoying gap. Michelle is still at the same job so needles to say she's now friends with everyone within 300 metres of the building. I'm still on the complaints lines and gradually starting to get the hang of it though I still find that I keep taking on more than I should. Michelle and I were taken on team bonding day with her work bunch a few weeks back. It involved climbing trees and very long zip-lines. Being a wuss and scared of heights, I quit half way through and just followed everyone else from the ground. All good fun though.

On the film front, we saw Wanted recently. Plenty of guns and action but with such a flimsy plot that really pulled the whole thing down. One to rent at some point on one of those "rent 3 films" nights so at least the other two can compensate. We also saw Cloverfield recently and it was better than I was expecting but still not great. Typical Saturday night flick. The new Indiana Jones film was pretty good although the plot takes a rather extreme turn towards the end but I still liked it. Michelle didn't think it was true to the previous films but I think it depends how recently you saw the earlier films. The real news is the upcoming release of the new Batman film that we've already said we'll go see even if I have to sell a kidney. Looks to be as good (hopefuly) as Batman Begins. Also, there's a new X-Files film on it's way and a new Hellboy, got to see them.

In gaming news, It's time for E3 2008 so there's going to be a host of gaming announcements we can expect over the next few days. I'm still keeping an eye on Fable 2 and still need to complete the original Fable which I picked up for less than a take away, second hand. Gears of War 2 will be out in November and looks to be quite interesting but I wouldn't call it "cream my pants exciting" that's a term that only Fable 2 is currently worthy of. Been working through Alone in the Dark of late and that is what I'd call ground braking. The controls are a bit tricky and that can be a real frustration when it comes to combat but the real fun is to be had in the inventory. Remember those text games? The ones where you type in "look at table" and "open door." Well, it kinda feels like that to play as to get anywhere, you need to " add sticky tape to bottle of flamable liquid" and use inginuity wit simple items in order kill enemies and find your path. A game everyone should try, if only they made a demo. I suggest renting it for a weekend. Rock band, on the other hand, you can really only experience by shelling out the cash to get the instruments. We're fortunate enough to have two guitars and the drums. Be warned, though, downstairs neighbours wont be impressed if you play the drums late at night, ours weren't. Really good fun but a pretty steep learning curve.

Well, on that note, I'll have a quick drinkie during the last of CSI Sunday and then off to bed.
    Night night all.

Back in the saddle... wearing it that is.

The new year has well and truly landed!

Dream and I have now got ourselves pretty much up and running in Plymouth. I'm still hunting for a job so if anyone knows of anything... hint hint.
Our broadband kicked in before the weekend but unfortunately, all we seem to be able to get is a pathetic 512k connection (not even that half the time), in the heart of Plymouth!!! I'm currently still waiting on the return of my 360 from it's second trip to the repair centre. It came up with the phantom three red lights part way through the packing at the old flat but the repairs are free and as it's the second repair, they sent me free gift from a list that I could choose from. I got a wired controller but better still, they sent TWO free controllers, either by mistake or because the guy on the phone liked me. Dream seems to be settling into her new job but I think we've decided that as soon as we're both earning and have the money, we're going to move, again, to somewhere that has at least a half decent broadband connection. The pain in the bum is that we cant find out how good the BB is at an address until we move in, get the phoneline connected and subscribe to an internet provider. If anyone knows where to look for info on good Broadband areas, give me a shout.

In gaming news, I've seen some more game footage from Army of Two, Battlefield: Bad Company and Brothers in Arms: Highway to Hell. Army of two looks interesting but not overly groundbreaking. I get the impression that, like most EA titles, it'll be good for a few days but enevitably end up either buried in dust on a shelf or traded in. Might worthe a weekend rental from Blockbuster though, dont count it out entirely. Battlefield: Bad Company is starting to look a bit better. They're going for the destructive angle with this one. Graphics aren't much to write home about but the big (and really only) selling point is that you can run round blowing up EVERYTHING in sight. Think of a standard FPS set in the present, then make the environment destructable. No more running round obbstacles and buildings, just blast your way through it all. Again, I think it'll have a short lifespan but certainly worthe a go if only for the glee of running round, randomly blowing up stuff and quickly leveling the entire area. All they need now is a map editor  (PC version only, consoles couldn'y cope with it) so people can build their own place of work, then level it, cackling manicly all the while. Lastly is the new BIA. It too has jumped on the "destructable environment" bandwagon. I've always had a soft spot for WWII games but above all stood two for me, Call of Duty 2 and Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 40. CoD saw us fighting and dieing alongside troops that we came to recognise as we progressed through the war... game. BIA gave us the angle of being able to order small squads about in order to execute tactics and achieve the same ends via slightly different means. BIA was more about telling a historicly accurate(ish) story and getting us to care about our comrades. This is deffinately going to be a must for anyone into WWII FPS's but be prepared it is more of a thinking kind of shooter, tactics over bullets. A really fresh style of game that hasn't been copied to death by every other developer on the planet. It's staying put on my wish list, this one.

Right, time for a shower and fish and chips for tea.
    Catch you all soon.

    Cute, the Bunny, Ears.

    It's CHRISTMASS!!

    Merry Christmass one and all,

I trust the festive season finds you all in good health. Dreams mum is here to visit for the week and while our chicken is in the oven, we've been playing a spot of Scene-It. We played the board game version when-ever we went to visit in Wales and now I can get achievements on it.... even though I never win. Jeff, my battery powered hamster, has spent the last few hours rolling round the living room in his ball, bouncing off everything.

Dream and I have been hopelessly addicted to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. After the Beta came out and everyone and their grandmother got to try it, we'd been pulling our hair out wanting to get our grubby little mitts on the final game. The single player campaign wasn't as impossibly hard on Veteren as the CoD2 was but certainly hard enough to make you put some effort in. There's plenty of little extra bits for the hardcore players to find in order to get the achievements and in doing so, unlocks some really funny cheat modes that make the game worth playing an extra few times. The multi-player is where the game really takes off with a ranking system that rewards even the worst of players and makes players use all variety of weapons to speed up their advancement rather than endlessly whoring one weapon (the P90) and driving everyone mental.... more mental.

The big news at the moment is that the hotel where I work has been sold, Dream has been offered a new job, we're moving to Plymouth, getting a cheaper flat, I've handed in my notice and we're making a fresh start in the hope of getting a sensible(ish) career each... to fund our gaming. ;P Maybe I'll even get back to updating this blog on a weekly basis again, that would be a miracle!

Well, hope you all have a lovely day, week and new year.
    Dont forget me,

    October 22

    Don't panic, I'm still alive... I think.

So, first time back to writing in a while... sorry for that.

Any-who, the days are getting shorter and much, much colder but there's plenty of gaming to keep us warm. :) Halo 3 came out a few weeks back (as if you didn't know!) and Michelle and I have already steam-rollered our way through the campaign (it helps that she's a deamon in a Warthog) so now we're trying to get good at the multiplayer... slowly. I wish the other game developers would pinch Bungies matchmaking system because it makes getting into a game so very very easy. No joining a game to find it's just started and you have to wait half an hour to finish before it'll let you in, no joining a game to find the host has to take the garbage out, etc, etc. I'll just say it's damn good fun but everyone else seems to be so much better at it than me. :(

Also new at the moment is Half-life 2: the Orange Box. Michelle's currently showing that she should never be relied upon to save the world using her driving prowess. Not seen the new Eppisode stuff yet but the old bits are still just as pretty as ever. Portal is Brilliant. I was expecting it to be far too long but it was just the right length to be challenging but not too drawn out and repetative. The humour is what holds it together; black and piled on with a shovel. I wasn't expecting it in a puzzle game. Team Fortress 2 looks pretty good, more humour too and the gameplay seems really well balanced so all the character classes and weapons are even and fair. No variety in the games or maps but hey, it's only for a bit of fun on the side anyway.

On a sad note, Michelles xbox is currently visitting the Microsoft rehabilitation clinic after a major overdose of disc read errors. Should be back in the next few weeks so in the mean time we're split-screening on mine. Good job I've got a big telly. :)

Finally, here's a site I was advised to visit. This guy is the best games reviewer I've heard to date. Go check it out: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/editorials/zeropunctuation

Back once again, and lots to tell...

Hi peeps, been a while and I'm sorry.

This will be my first blog entry to also appear on my Facebook page, enjoy.

So, from the top, been to Wales to see Dreams mum, played lots of board games and chilled out. Was a lovely little holiday just to unwind. Got home to the fantastic news that my boss was leaving so now I have a good boss who's under a lot of pressure at the mo but is already doing a lot better than his predecessor. Everyone at work seems a lot happier for the change too.

DT and Jet came down to visit a while ago, spent lots of time on the beach eating BBQ nosh and listening to DT complaining about the lack of waves. lol Had a lovely time though and even got a tan.

We picked up Colin McRae Dirt a while ago and I have to say it's the most fun racing game I've ever played. It hasnt got the hardcore feel that many racing games tend to addopt, it's not all about racing lines and fine tuning your car like an expert machanic, it's just about enjoying the driving experience. Those who prefer the technical expertise of driving modified cars would most likely prefere Forza 2 but if, like me, you're not that interested or knowledgable about the internal workings of cars and their fine tuning, this is a must. The difficulty settings are well ballanced to let you get to grips with the game on easy (which is very easy) and as you find yourself ready to take on tougher challanges, you can gradually try the harder settings. If an event is to tough, just do it on an easier setting so you dont have to keep playing the same race over and over for hours. The graphics are nothing short of beautiful, your car takes damage and watching the mud spray up the back of the car never gets boring. Try not to look to closely at the dust cloud that follows the car, though, it doesnt look as good as everything else but usually you'll be far more concerned with that tree just arround the next corner that you keep slamming into. Definately a game worthe renting for a weekend off but if you buy it, you'll probably be trading it in towards the end of the year.

For those who haven't been watching, E3 has just finished in America for another year. A gaming exhibition where games designers show of their up-coming releases. There didn't seem to be the same level of new stuff to look forward to this year compared to last year but then last year included the release of the Wii and PS3. This years 360 conference almost exclusively covered games due out this year apart from Resident Evil 5 which looks quite nice. Disapointingly there was almost no mention of Bioshock and still no demo on the marketplace. We got to see Halo 3 in-game footage which looks really nice and I got the impression that we'll get to play as the always popular Grunts in multiplayer, just a gut feeling from something I spotted in the trailer so dont hold me to it. Assasins Creed caught my eye, Tenchu Z but with knights in Jerusalem. There was a demonstration from the game designers but there were a LOT of glitches that were clearly vissible to all. Apparently the game was due out long ago but has been delayed while they strive to fix all these glitches. Still one to keep an eye out for though. Scene-it is coming to the 360, hopefully in time for Christmas and will come with 4 controllers that look very akin to the PS2 controllers for Buzz. Fracture looked interesting, a 3rd person shooter/puzzler in which you remold the terain in various ways to get over obstacles and kill beasties, a bit different. A new Tony Hawks game which EA think they can match with their own skateboarding game but having seen the trailers, stick to Tony Hawks, it looks far superior. Guitar Hero 3 and Rock Band are going to provide many hours of random, drunken amusement. I'm starting to lose interest in Stranglehold and Army of Two because they're taking so long and we've still not seen any confirmed in-game footage of Army of Two so I'm not convinced it'll be as good as the trailers look. For those who like Final Fantasy style games, there's going to be LOADS to choose from, not my cup of tea though, sorry.

Bomberman, Track & Field, Hexic 2, Sensible World of Soccer, Wing Commander: Arena, Feeding Frenzy 2, Switchball (never heard of it but looks similar to Marble Blast), Tetris Splash and Boku Sudoku are all coming to Xbox Live Arcade allong with Sonic the Hedgehog and Golden Axe which came out this week.

Go check out Cat Face on Weebls-stuff.com, he rules.

In rather sad news, the beloved show Red vs Blue has come to an end. I really hope they bring the characters back in something new, I'll miss Caboose and Sarge.

Right, enough for now, I have to get to the co-op before it closes.

    See you all soon.

    Halo-tastic!!

    Hi folks.

Been a bit too hooked on the Halo 3 beta of late. I was no big fan of Halo 2 but so far all my miss-givings have been brushed away and now I'm actually looking forward to 25th September when the game is released.

Off to get blown up some more. BBS.

    Zoo trip!!

    Hi gang

Michelle and I had the weekend off together so decided to go visit the zoo... since it's only over the road.
We saw otters: Click to enlarge
We saw chimps: Click to enlarge
We saw lions: Click to enlarge
We saw Penguins: Click to enlarge
We saw a RABBIT!!: Click to enlarge
And Michelle scratched a goat: Click to enlarge
We then made the long walk home (both minuites of it) and had a picnic on the beanbag. It was really funny to keep seeing ducks and seaguls everywhere in the zoo. Not the kind of animals you'd expect to see in a zoo.

In other news, we got Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 (GRAW2) but have to say even despite having very low expectations, we were both really unsatisfied but what it had to offer. I knew Ubisoft would just take GRAW, tweak the graphics a bit, make a new story for the campaign and not much else but what I wasnt expecting was for them to make the game so easy that it wasn't worth even playing. For the first time I dived straight into the hardest difficulty setting (I usually do it on easy first) and was outraged to be able to just walk through it from beginning to end without getting stuck even once! I'm told that after the last GRAW, Ubi got a lot of complaints saying that the game was too hard and the achievements weren't easy enough to get. I thought that the difficulty was just right, a bit challanging on easy but a real accomplishment if you completed it on hard, as it should be. I fear that Ubi are turning into the cash cow that EA have been for years and will do anything to make a fast buck without any concern given to what is in good spirit for the genre and the industry as a whole in the long term. Pampering to the "achievement whore" (those who are more interested in getting the highest gamerscore for the least effort). As a result, Ubi have stooped to the level of creating a game that will sell fast for a few months, gamers will complete the game in a week, then sell on to 2nd hand shops leaving so few gamers playing it that Ubi save themselves the effort of creating additional content or patches. The games industry was meant to be one of the few remaining fields of developement that still had some morals but I guess those days are gone. 'tis a great shame.

Michelle and I have been pretty addicted to Crackdown of late. Think Grand Theft Auto but where you can leap over buildings, pick up trucks, throw them and get about on foot faster than by driving. It's fantastic. No real multiplayer function but the 2 player co-op is hysterical. It helped that we have our TVs and xboxs next to each other so when we found something, we could just look at the other players TV to see where it is but still fantastic none the less. Everyone should have a go at it even if only by renting it for a weekend but trust me, it's great and I wasn't very excited by it untill I got playing.

That's enough of a rant for now. Dont forget to check out askaninja.com, weebls-stuff.com, angryalien.com, homestarrunner.com and rvb.roosterteeth.com for the latest funny vids.
    See you all next time.

    My name in print... ish

Well, I may not be big and famous... well not famous anyway, but a friend found this on a website: http://www.gamesradar.com

    Category: Animal

Examples: Cute Bunny Ears, Stallion83, Donkey Punch 06, ButterflyFlame, Wombat Wrangler, WizenedPigeon, Moose Matt, blackpython89, Lobstah 1125, FishSwish, NamelessMonkey, Red Wolf66, Depressedsnail

Millions of different species exist on this planet and each one of them is represented on Xbox Live. From aardvark (MetalAardvark) to zebra (Zebrasqual), we came across at least one example of everything.

Let's not over analyze - clearly, some people simply have favorite animals. For others, though, it goes deeper. They choose a particular species for what it represents; they recognize a trait in that creature that they either admire in themselves or jealously desire for themselves. A gorilla might symbolize strength, a butterfly beauty or a unicorn individuality. And don't be fooled... anyone who chooses a bunny for their tag is trying to project reproductive prowess, not speed or cuteness.

Whatever your animal totem, the ultimate goal is transformation. In the wild environs of the online world, you can be whatever you'd like to be.

Well, time Michelle (who I love and adore and beats me at everything...) and I were off to the co-op. In the mean time, check out the trailers on the marketplace for Battlefield: Bad Company (looks a lot like Army of Two) and Unreal Tournament 3. There's a new arcade game too, Alien Hominid, a bit funny so take a look.

    See you later peeps.

I got myself an ipod shuffle today so just in the prossess of putting some tunes on it to get me to work and back. It's so dinky and really easy to connect to Lappy. I spent all morning trying to decide which colour I wanted and finally went with the silver one (I know what you're thinking, you expected me to get the pink one but the silver looks better).

There's been some new trailers on the xbox marketplace, nothing too exciting but there's a trailer for Blacksite: Area 51 which looks quite interesting, sort of Battlefield Modern Combat meets Half Life.

Paperboy is now on the Live Arcade but I'm as rubbish at it now as I was when I had it for the Amstrad cpc 464 (I'm so old!). Brings back memories though... mostly of 45 minuite loading times.

If you haven't already tried it, the GRAW 2 demo is worth a go. As we expected, Ubisoft seem to be heading further down the EA road and just releasing slightly improved versions of games in order to rake in the easy money. It seems to be GRAW with a new campaign, a few extra weapons and slightly improved graphics (that'll sound familiar to those who remember Ghost Recon 2 and GR2: Summit Strike). On the plus, I saw a trailer the other day (the squad tactics trailer on the marketplace to be precise) which makes it look like you can view the action from the perspective of your team mates allowing you to control them without having to put yourself in harms way. looks like an impressive addition though it's unclear just how usefull it'll actually be. Still waiting to see if the multiplayer is any different to that of GRAW.

There's a new eppisode of the Viva Pinata cartoon out too. I'm such a child.

I'm still struggling with Geometry Wars. It seems to have got really really hard of late but Michelle (that cheating moo-bag) actually managed to get to the million mark this week. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I'll get there... once it's killed me repeatedly... for a few years.

Right, I think that's all the news for now, so til next time, keep warm.

    Sorry, I am still here!

    Hi gang

Sorry I havent blogged in almost a month, I've... been.... um... lazy.

Anyway, still not got pics of the flat yet but my mum came down a few weeks back with a van FULL of all my stuff/rubbish including my big telly. Within a few days I flew to the top of the house-share Geometry Wars leaderboard. Michelle and I took my radio controlled cars out to the park for a play and drew the attention of the local kids.

In other news, the single player demo of GRAW2 has hit the marketplace and as expected, it is just a tweaked and pollished GRAW but that doesn't mean it's bad. I'll be getting it anyway. The graphics (well, some of them) have been improved and it feels a bit more fluid than it's predecessor but dont forget that the feel of the single player is always better than the multiplayer.

Still no single player demo of Battlestations Midway but the multiplayer demo was enough to get me hooked. Dont be fooled by the initial look of the graphics, the detail really IS there and you'll only really notice it by using the binoculars to zoom in. There's people walking arround on the ships (but you cant soot them, I tried... repeatedly), rust on the metalwork, the water looks great when you see splash effects and the explosions are pretty too. It's really nice to see a tactical game that gives you the option of either sitting back and just commanding the action or to dive in and do some of the fighting yourself. The controls take a while to pick up but the basics are easy and like they say, practice makes perfect.

Still no sign of Worms on the Live Arcade but I can be patient... for a while...

Michelle's been on at me to make a My Space so I might have to make an appearance on there soon but I wont abandon this place, dont worry, I love it to much.

Valentines day soon, I better start saving up to treat the little lady...

Right, 'til next time, have fun and play safe.

    nope, no worms. Grrrrr

    Hi folks.

Well, no sign of Worms in the end, just Ms Pac Man instead. As if that's any consolation. Grrrrrrrr

But on a brighter note, we did get treated by a free map pack for Gears of War and Theme to match. Not played the maps yet but I hear good things. Today we've even been treated a new Call of Duty 3 map for free too! The description sounds interesting so will have to try that at some point.

We're having another Christmass dinner today while Michelle's mum is here so it'll be full tums tonight again. We've had a few games of cards (I came 2nd runner up in every game, is that good?) plus a mini quiz that I was rubbish at apart from the one point I got when I put "Jeff" for every answer and actually got one right. Tee hee.

Still not done a photo of the bedroom yet but I will, promise.

    Be back soon kids.

    WORMS!!!!

    Hi peeps.

Just heard that Worms is coming to the xbox Live Arcade so had a quick look and it's due out tomorow (10.1.07)!!!!!!!!
It's the 2D version and looks just like Worms 2. Though not as great as it's predaccessor Worms United, at least it's a 2D worms again. I've missed it sooooo much.

The new Red vs Blue eppisode is now available to non-sponsors and now via Flash player. This has proven to be a doubble edged sword though. On the one hand we now can stream the eppisodes much faster straight to our Browsers and in higher quallity and can even embed the videos onto your web pages but on the other hand we can no longer download the eppisodes without becoming sponsors.

Going to make a start on Viva Pinata soon and having seen Michelle play it for days at a time I thinkI've picked up enough to give me a head start on it.

Till next time (once I've taken a pic of the bedroom)...

    Happy new year!!!

Welcome to 2007 everyone. I hope you all had as good a time as possible through the holiday season. We didnt do to much but Michelle made a fantastic Christmas dinner for us. Then another roast dinner yesterday too. I'm so spoilt.

Our brand new bed arrived before dawn this morning. Unfortunately it was lacking some very important screws and it'll be a few days before the replacements arrive but at least it's here and we can sleep on the mattress at least. Still feeling rather disapointed though having got all excited about it but there's nothing more that can be done so I'll have to console myself with a bit of Rainbow Six: Vegas.

It seems to me that if you reload a savepoint from a previous game session in R6:V, it automaticly sets it back to normal difficulty. It pretty much means that to complete the game on Realistic dificulty, you have to play through it non-stop. Or at least do each chapter at a time using the Sellect Chapter option from the menu.

That's all for now. Will show you the bed when (if ever) it's all built.

Not much else to report. Having a lazy weekend off with my honey, watched Over The Hedge (see it! You MUST!!!) and Pirates of The Caribbean 2 (Everyones a pirate!: Ask A Ninja). Going to watch Ice Age 2 tonight.

There's some more of the Viva Pinata animated series and the announcement trailer for Ghost Recon Advanced War Fighter available from the dashboard. Knowing Ubisoft, the release of GRAW2 will be delayed by about 6 months.

Our good friend Dr Love is back home for the hols so we're going to be spamming him with game invites constantly.

    Laters peeps.

    Bunny's Back!!!

Hi peeps, sorry it's been so long but my internet went down and then we moved into our new flat. Now I'm back and we've got an 8 meg connection.

So, the news, well.... Still got my job and that's going well. Pretty tough work still but it'll get easier with time. Everyone up there is really nice and giving me lots of help to settle in and find my way arround.

The new flat is fantastic. Moved in last Thursday night, got the washing machine and fridge/freezer on Saturday and gradually buying and being given more stuff every few days. Hope to have a propper bed by the end of January. Here's some pics of the place before we filled it with rubbish:

I'll get some pics of the place with our stuff unpacked for next time.

Still loving Gears of War and have now finished it on "Insane" difficulty. This has now taken over the role of "favorate game" for the moment. The multiplayer is really fast and fun so deffinately give it a go with some friends. We're planning a little inter-house rivalry down here in Newquay.

Hoping to get back onto some Call of Duty 3 soon and see how that handlers with our new internet connection. I'm hoping we might have more lucking getting into games than we use to.

There's plenty of new stuff to look at on the marketplace, the Viva Pinata eppisodes are my favourate for the moment. There's a new trailer for Halo 3 that's quite interesting (they've gone very arty and deep of late). Some new arcade tittles are out including Small Arms which really rocks. Definately give that a try if you can. There's a single player demo of Splinter cell but I've not tried that yet.

The new Nintendo Wii is due out today but for many people it seems their pre-orders will not be met due to limited stock (sound familiar). Things should move pretty quick though so dont be to down hearted if you're left waiting. I hope to be able to save up for one for next Christmas but until then all my money is going towards furnature, food and bills.

Well, that about does it for now. I'll get some better pics of the flat soon (once I've tidied up).
